Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin 2 Shampoo, £17.75

This is a fantastic all round shampoo for dry hair. It moisturises your hair, and also maximises volume and shine. The whole Nutritive range gives great results and will change your hair for the better. I promise!
Davines OI Hair Butter, £24

Davines is an amazing brand, with everything plant based and completely natural. What this product does in terms of conditioning and moisturising hair is quite phenomenal. It’s a really creamy butter, and creates an intense treatment for your hair. People get frightened about putting heavy products on fine hair, but they don’t need to. Most of us generate the natural oils in our hair at the roots, so you only want to put treatments mid length to ends. This one is divine.
L’Oreal Tecni.Art Super Dust, £11.98

This little baby, oh my god, I never leave home without it. If your hair feels a bit flat or thinning, this is absolutely brilliant to add volume and lift. It’s a mist of powder that you put in and it instantly absorbs any moisture, and completely holds the hair. It’s like you’ve back combed your hair. Just brilliant.
L’Oreal Professional Tecni.Art Pli Thermo-Modelling Spray, £12.85

I use this product on 80% of my clients, it’s brilliant for styling midlife hair. You apply it and then put heat to it to activate it. It needs the heat from the blow drying to expand. It’s light, so you can have long or short hair. You just spritz it through and it adds that gutsy feeling to the hair.
Davines OI All In One Milk, £14.90

This is brilliantly hydrating for fine hair. It’s a milk, but you spray it in, and it goes to work where moisture is really needed. It will only grab and soak in where the hair is dehydrated. So if your hair is really sensitive on the ends, it will soak into those areas more. So clever, I love it.
Davines OI Oil, £35

We all know that oils are good for our hair, but people get scared off or use the wrong ones. This one is really good on fine midlife hair. Use it as often as you blow dry your hair and you don’t need to use much of it. It’s my favourite oil.
Davines Solu Sea Salt Scalp Cleanser, £23.70

This is basically an exfoliator for your scalp. What could be nicer? It’s like gritty salt. Put it onto dry hair, then really get it in there with your fingers and work it in. It feels fantastic! Then you rinse it out and shampoo, or put your shampoo on top and then rinse out. It takes all the excess products out and helps with anything that’s irritating the scalp, like psoriasis. It’s so good just to spend two minutes just working it in, genius.
